SANTA BARBARA REAL ESTATE MARKET UPDATE THROUGH APRIL 2020

Here is a recap of the Santa Barbara real estate markets through April 2020.

The question I am most often asked have changed a bit… Most are based on what they would next like to see in their future homes. Everyone has been spending a lot of time at home and had a lot of time to think about what would make their lives more enjoyable or work lives more separated from their home lives. Not surprisingly, the request for a separate home office have been top of mind.

Going forward as the community begins to open up again, I will be closely monitoring what the market is doing and keep you in the loop. Here is the synopsis from April 2020 from Village Properties on the Santa Barbara real estate market. There were a total of 479 total sales properties sold (348 single-family residences and 131 condos). The SFR average price was $1,645,478 (median $1,255,000) and for condos the average was $848,721 (median was $745,000).
