Dear Clients and Friends,

Today for the second time this season, I feel like a slight touch of Fall is in the air and for that I am grateful. The clouds up here on the Mesa are dark yet no matter how many times I ask them top open up and really rain we have only received a few sprinkles.  After the past several weeks of the prolonged heat wave, this cooler weather is very welcome. I think often about how blessed we are to live on the edge of the continent and near the Pacific Ocean where we can plunge in and cool ourselves off and how many people across the world do not have this luxury. Santa Barbara is truly unique and I am so incredibly lucky to have grown up here and found my way back to be raise my family here too.

Our boys are both back in school, Wyatt in 6th and Crosby in 4th. Both of them are happy to be surrounded with friends and teachers again and have a routine. Wyatt is playing volleyball, learning how to service his own mountain bike and training for some overnight rides and also participating in a yoga class. Crosby is “only” doing three sports this fall; soccer, flag football and baseball and we are sharing all the carpooling to these practices and games! with teammates. It takes a village.

The Santa Barbara real estate market is just that. The Santa Barbara market. Our market is not the same as the one portrayed in the national news and slowing down as much as the headlines shout. We are still seeing over list price sales, multiple offers, low inventory (we always have low inventory) and despite the interest rate hike, I have many buyers actively looking and ready to pounce. Does anyone know of anything coming up in the Storke Ranch neighborhood?

This is my 19th year in the real estate business and I am here for the ups and the downs of the market and news cycles. Please let me know how I can assist you with your real estate questions. I look forward to being your local resource for our local market.

With appreciation,

Elizabeth
