For years now we have been driving North to Los Alamos, which is about a 1 hour drive from Santa Barbara in order to eat at Full of Life Flatbread Pizza. The delicious thin crust pizzas, laid back vibe, garden seating setting, refreshing vibes, family style feel and even the bills that arrive in a book make this restaurant one of our favorites. Last year for my birthday my husband and I stayed up in Los Alamos for the weekend and explored the town on cruiser bikes, ate at multiple restaurants and took day adventures to nearby dunes and beaches. We decided we would definitely return to spend more time in this community.
Fast forward about 4 months and my phone rang from an old friend and her husband (two of my favorites and we all share the same birthday…that’s right all 3 of us were born on November 1st…so that’s been a fun thing to share in common!). She called to catch up and share that they were considering an investment property…we discussed timing and loan options and after further discussion they decided to wait awhile longer…then one day the phone rang again and they had pulled off the side of the road to let their little one take a break and found a house down a street in Los Alamos that they were interested in…
We made an appointment to see it, and all fell in love (I texted them later that I wanted to buy it!) with what was already there as well as the tremendous opportunity that presented itself around every corner- palm trees, cul-de-sac location, pool, bocce, sport court, garden space, plenty of room and all a short distance to downtown Los Alamos. We sent in our approval and our offer and even though there were multiple offers, our was accepted! 750 Main Street, although located in Los Alamos is reminiscent of Palm Springs and is centrally located to all the goodness that “Los(t) Alamos (t) has been cranking out these past few years. I can’t wait to see what my clients do to make it their own and to stay with them up there when we go and visit the delicious restaurants and wineries!
The single level ranch house consists of 3 bedrooms and 3 baths located at the end of a private street with ample parking for all of your recreating vehicles and toys plus an attached garage and more storage. There is a dog run, fenced yard and recently built front gate, an enormous pool plus a spa and lots of unused space that will be transformed into gardens and places to play.
The house is surrounded with covered patios and decks that shade the house from the warmer days and provide multiple places to entertain or have a quiet moment alone.
